Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session? Please give us a call at 310-391-4500. To confirm your session we require a non-refundable 50% deposit of your session fee.

Will you help me plan my outfits? Yes, we'll schedule a session design meeting at our studio before your session to pick out backgrounds and other styling plus coach you on what everyone should wear. If you have booked a maternity shoot we'll do a dress fitting with you before the shoot to try on all of our gorgeous dresses.

How long is my session? Our maternity sessions are about 60-90 minutes and newborn sessions are between 2-3 hours.

Should I feed my newborn before their session? Please plan your feeding to finish 30 minutes before your arrival to the studio or first thing once you arrive to the studio.

What do I need to bring to the newborn session?  Since we provide all of the props, outfits and accessories for your newborn session, you'll only need to bring the standard baby things like diapers and milk.

Do I need to arrive early to feed and dress myself or baby? No. We schedule all clients with plenty of time to settle in before your session. Please arrive on time for your appointment.

Where should I park? There is metered parking right out front of our studio on Sepulveda Blvd. or free parking in the neighborhoods a block away. The meters take credit cards.

What if my baby doesn’t cooperate during the photo session? If your child is having a very off day and we are unable to capture any portraits due to circumstances out of your photographer's control, we have a 50% of the session fee re-shoot policy and can arrange another session for a different date.

When will I get to view and order my photos? About two weeks after your session your images will be presented to you at our studio in our state of the art editing room. We will walk you through the editing process and easily help you pick your favorites for albums, wall art and gifts. As part of our customer service philosophy we do not offer online galleries. We schedule each client for a 90 minute ordering appointment.

Why are digital files not included as part of your session fee? We keep our session fees separate from any products that we offer and then let you decide what you would like to purchase after your session. Everyone wants something different, so we let you decide what is right for your family.

What happens if I miss the 10 day cut-off for newborn photos? We asses each client on their individual situation and whether the baby was born early or not. However as a rule of thumb when you miss the newborn window we pick up the session at 3 months old. Babies between the age of 10 days and three months are incredibly fussy and are difficult to take photos of.

What if I need to reschedule my session? Please give us as much advance notice as possible, for re-scheduleings within 24 hours there is a $50 re-scheduling fee and a $100 no-show policy.

Can I do the newborn photos at my home? Because of the specific temperature, lighting as well as the team who assists on the shoot and all the backgrounds and accessories at the studio, our newborn sessions take place at our studio only.
